Paid-to-Read Programs

Have you ever thought that you could be paid for reading something? Yes, it's hard to believe but it's true. You can earn money by reading...

But what are you going to read in the first place?

Books, news papers, articles, stories or what? I'll tell you what...you are going to earn money by reading emails!!!

Yes! And don't be surprised because it's not a new idea to the money making field. It has been available for quite a while now and many people are doing it from at home, school, college or even from their work places as well.

I was also surprised to hear that people could earn money by simply reading emails. So I did some research on it before starting out. I studied numerous Paid-to-Read programs and understood their functionality. I even signed up with some of those programs to get a feel of this new venture and did a lot of experimenting with it to see how profitable it can get.

And now I know the real truth behind those Paid-to-Read programs and I'm not very much impressed with them. You'll understand why...once you have finished reading this article.

As I stated, I registered with some of those money making programs because they were free to join(but there are sites that require you to pay a sign-up fee as well). Since it was free, I thought I could give it a try...That's fair enough isn't it? The only thing I was worried about was revealing my email address to them. That was a bit of a gamble I believe because I was always afraid of
spam and unsolicited emails. However, it was a must to give away your email address since your goal is to read emails sent to you by someone. Most of the companies were strict that they would not share the email information with a third party. But now I doubt it because I occasionally get the odd email that I'm not expecting to receive. There is another way of earning money by selling private information such as email addresses, residential addresses, salary particulars and other personal data. So make sure you register with programs which assure that your email address won't be shared with a third party.

OK then, let's get back to our subject :-)

You might be wondering why do people want to pay you for reading emails...
What kind of emails will I receive to read?
How many emails will I receive per day?
What would happen if I couldn't read an email?
How are they going to find out that I've read their emails?
When and how am I going to get paid?

Before I explain the answers to above questions, I'll briefly explain why they pay you for reading emails.

Today companies spend so much money on advertising campaigns and thus whenever a new product is released to the market, it is essential to win customers as quickly as possible. If the product is released internationally, then those promotion campaigns should be deployed on a larger scale. This is when emails come to the picture. Emails have always been a useful, cheap method to address the global community. It is quick, targeted, and most importantly it is free. So not only the person who is sending the email but also the person who is receiving need not pay anything to use this service. Therefore, huge marketing programs can be run using emails and the companies involved get more exposure to whatever they are marketing. When you read such emails you get information about the newest products and services and they get the opportunity to raise awareness about their new product. So the bottom line is it's a win-win situation for all the parties involved.

What kind of emails will I receive?
Mostly, these emails are about a new product or a new service which has been launched to attract customers. But sometimes they send emails to promote websites and other features(more marketing) as well.

How many emails will I receive per day?
We can't define a number to this and usually they will send as much as they can. But don't be afraid because they will not flood your inbox by any mean. I usually get about 3-4 emails per day.

What would happen if I couldn't read an email?
Nothing. You can read it later whenever you are free and it won't cost you anything.

How are they going to find out that I've read their emails?
When you register with a Paid-to-Read program, they give you a unique reference number/ID or something similar to identify you in future transactions. When you were sent an email, that reference ID is indicated as a link at the bottom(or any place on the email) of the email and you will be asked to click on that link after you read that email. That way they can keep track of whether you have opened and read the message or not. You must take at least 40 seconds to read an email. Otherwise, they will find out that you have rushed through the message. So be mindful enough to keep the emails opened for atleast 1 minute.

When and how am I going to get paid?
You can request payment as soon as your payments reach a pre-difined amount(let's say $75) and they will pay them through a suitable way as available.

Now that I have explained everything about how this Paid-to-Read programs work, let me reveal the bitter truth about them...That is reading emails is not going to earn you a handsome income by any mean because it is not popular as a full time income earning method. Emails that I receive carry about 2 cents per each and I receive about 3-4 per day. So my daily earning through reading emails would be about 6 to 8 cents. So it would take ages to achieve something like $75... But keep in mind that if you register for more programs you get more opportunities to increase your earnings. I'm following only two Paid-to-Read programs but you can register with as much as you like. Also keep in mind that there are scams as well. So be careful when registering. But my advice is Paid-to-Read to programs itself won't generate a huge income but they can be used as an additional method along with other methods. So it's up to you to decide which is best for you.

With that I'm going to end this lengthy article on Paid-to-Read programs and I hope you found this useful in some way or the other.

I'll be addressing other money making events in the future and until then good luck to you all and all the best.
